Well, There They Go Again…

So, the House Democrats decided to try to impeach the President again. This is not entirely unlike wiping with TP after you’ve pulled your pants up. I’m sure they think they’re making a point but I can’t be bothered to worry about their BS anymore…

Again I Say, They ALWAYS Lie

Anger cannot be dishonest. ~Marcus Aurelius

I’m sure Marcus Aurelius must have met disingenuous, shithead politicians back in his day.

I suppose the quote above is more of a philosophical statement than an observation of politicians’ ability to pretend to be mad about things in order to try to consolidate power and make sure nobody ever has the temerity to piss in their cornflakes ever again.

They should probably stop being sore winners.

It’s bad enough they stole the election. If they think they’re going to turn us into PRC🇨🇳West before their policies turn us into Venezuela🇻🇪North, they’ve definitely got a bumpy ride ahead.

Not because more pretend protesters are going to “lay siege” to the Capitol Building, but because their stunning ineptitude is going to lead us all to complete disaster.

Oh well, I’m done with it.

The only interest I have in politics at this point is waiting to say “I Told You So” to all the jackasses who actually voted for a senile sock puppet simply because he wasn’t the Bad Orange Man. Idiots…

All The Powers

The Boys: All Super Powers Explained

Kelly and I have been slogging through The Boys. I kind of enjoyed Season 1 when it first came out. It was an interesting angle on the superhero genre and who doesn’t like Karl Urban in basically anything/everything he’s ever been in?

The second season opened with some unanswered questions. That should be hook enough, but I’m not feeling it. Maybe it’s because of my politically induced ennui or the lingering malaise of whatever the hell I happen to be sick with, but I’m just not really into it.

Maybe I’ll take a hiatus and come back to it when I’m in the mood for it. Gosh knows when that will be. I’m awfully tired and cranky these days. Not even in the mood for gratuitous violence and harsh language. Boy, I’m getting old and crotchety…

I’d like to get a chance to watch Prometheus but I’m not really in the mood for that either. I think I just need to sleep for a solid week or two.

Self-Deception

It may be that the deep necessity of art is the examination of self-deception. ~Robert Motherwell

I’ve been listening to a variety of writing seminars, trying to get ready for my next burst of creativity but I’m just in a dreadful state. Looks like I’ll need to take the entire month of January off to recover from the RomCom sprint.

It’s heck getting old…

Be that as it may, I’m letting things simmer in my subconscious. Undoubtedly, something will bubble to the surface. I have caught myself revisiting The Sentinels as I go about random tasks such as stirring my coffee, making dinner or driving places.

Just as well, they’re the ones I wanted to return to first in any case. I’d like to get a solid grip on the story arc for the superhero series and figure out what I want to publish with them before I move on to another genre. It would be kind of nice if I could get a clear head for planning but I just feel so dreadfully awful these days.

I just want to go to bed and I’m not really keen on getting out of it any time soon…

That’s all for today. Was running late because one of my work assignments has triggered my lowkey OCD. The only thing worse than getting obsessed with a program is not being able to complete that program because you’re too obsessed with its completion. Blasted nuisance…
